No matter what your sport is strength and power development are fundamental building blocks to unlocking athletic potential. Hello, my name is Wesley McWilliams, and I am a certified strength & conditioning coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I began my strength training journey many years ago in high school, primarily to improve as an athlete in the sports I played. Back then there was little guidance in terms of how to properly train, and the guidance I did receive was less than ideal. I often think back on how much more I could have developed as an athlete had I had a competent strength and conditioning coach who could guide me through the process. Unfortunately for many young athletes, the case remains the same today as well.
I decided it’s time for a change. Athletes need access to a good coach. Without a good strength and conditioning coach, it is virtually impossible for an athlete to develop their full athletic potential and avoid the frustrations of not making progress, and perhaps worse, training related injuries from improper form, improper programming, and improper technique. I made it my mission to change that; to be the resource young athletes need to unlock their potential.
I work one-on-one with individual athletes, or at most a pair of athletes, and guide them through the process. I provide all of the necessary training equipment to make athletes better, and my studio is private. Therefore, I can focus on coaching and you can focus on training with no distractions and no worries about being judged by others while you learn. My ultimate goal is to teach you everything you need to know about training, programming, and nutrition, so that you have all the tools and confidence necessary to drive your success and reach your potential as an athlete.
